I would add all of the rest of the King Cobra parts on to it (the mud flaps, the rear slats, the font spoiler...), go through the Edelbrock parts catalog and hop up the V8, ditch the trans for a T-56 magnum (along with making a billet shift handle in the shape of 1911 handle and put rosewood grips on it), give it an LSD if it doesn't already have one, 5-lug disk brake conversion all the way around, tubular control arms with coil overs in the front and an adjustable 4 link in the rear to ditch the leafs, sub frame stiffening, put new pedal pads on it, swap out the front seats for new Recaro seats from a new Mustang, and give it side pipes.

For a malaise era car, that's pretty awesome.

All I would do is hop up the engine.

It has at least front disc brakes it's a Mustang II, those things have great front suspensions (for the era) and people swap them into tons of muscle cars.

the engine upgrades would be a requirement, but that thing looks awesome, i'd drive the hell out of it

you can get great classics for reasonable prices if you don't have a requirement of 454 SS Chevelle.

My Montego was $2500 and I spun the tires on the way home

Of course I have no idea what the reserve is here. Probably $12K.

Metric shit-ton of aftermarket for that Mustang II suspension. You can go from stock to basically anywhere you want.

probably high, but like I said if you aren't the "I must have the most main stream car" kind of guy, they aren't that expensive.

That Mecum license plate is somewhat telling.

Might need one of these to wash down the reserve price:
